New to forum. I recently purchased a 2017 Taco TRD off-road.
The dang beep when locking and unlocking with key fob is annoying as hell. Is there a way to disable it (Without) factory radio?

I have an aftermarket Pioneer head unit

Maybe use Carista? There are a lot of options in it and I want to say the beep volume is one of them. You could also just unplug the beeper. It's a little grey box in the front of the engine bay.

I've been wanting someone to market a replacement for the beeper that lets you put another sound in it. I like the idea of a cow "Mooooo!" when I hit the button.

Yeah, sounds like you need Carista or Techstream to change that setting now. If you're anywhere near me I could do it as I have a Tactrix cable and old copy of Techstream, but that's a long shot. Otherwise I think Carista is the cheapest retail option.

Thank you! I will try unplugging

I swear I saw this in the head unit options. Either on/off or the volume of it.

It's the SR and non-Entune ones that you can't. I'll go double check for you.

Manual - around page 595. I swear you were able to.

Where are you located? Also if you have Android, you can download Carista, unlocked beta and do it without paying anything. Just search a little.
