• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

This is really awesome, love every direction you went

this build is awesome. One battery for winch and fridge? If so no issues? How long have you ran without a charge

The 31M has powered it no problem for three days without being hooked up but that was just testing. If I’ll be stationary for more than a day I’ll hook it up to solar. At home I have a trickle charger cord sticking out from under my garage door that I plug into a lead off my battery.

I also keep an Antigravity jump pack just in case.

A couple pics of the platform I built for behind the driver’s seat. The Snomaster 56D fits perfectly.

Put some thin solar panels on the top of the Tradesman using RTV silicone. I was told to use it by someone who did it on their trailer a couple years ago and they are holding strong. Actually an easy instal.

A couple of these:

And some 10AWG wire, in-line fuse, and ring terminals coming off the battery. And split loom from controller to the panels.

The controller is attached to my fuse box with 3M double sided heavy duty Velcro

100W is MORE than plenty to keep my battery fullycharged with the small draw from my Snomaster 56D fridge/freezer

The black section of gorilla tape on the tradesman is to keep my fishing reels from chipping paint when I have them in my rack that I can attach to the rails.
