Our Tacoma has been through a lot of abuse in the two years we’ve had it. This day in particular was the worst. With only 4,000 miles on the truck, a Marine decided to “fall asleep” at the wheel (aka: texting), causing him to sideswipe me while I was at a red light. His car was totaled and the Tacoma needed $16,000 in repairs (the frontend suspension components were destroyed). While it still bothers me that it’s no longer factory original, per say, I like to think it just adds one more war story to the truck’s history. The police cruiser wasn’t strong enough to push it off the road so the wounded Taco had to crawl itself away.
