Took Isaac (2.5 years old, 2nd boy) on his inaugural camping trip. We went "glamping" with the roof top tent. Last trip was with my first boy (age 4), and we did a cool weather trip primitive style (tarp shelter, bare basics, only fire starting help allowed was ferrocerium rod, etc.). This trip was a blast! Complete comfort on a mattress in my RTT, used a lighter to get the fire going. Need to keep up the bushcraft skills, but it sure was nice to have a little more comfort.

I figured I get to post it here since I did use my truck ;).

And if you're wondering, this location is the Bruton Branch portion of the pickwick landing state park, just over the border in TN at the Pickwick dam.

Very nice man. Taking the kid out for me is always the best part of the trip. Watching them learning about the outdoors is a great feeling as a dad for sure.

Amazing dude, got to make sure these kids are self sufficient! My boy is 6 and we will walking through the woods in Northern Arizona and I will just ask him, “Brad, what direction are we walking?” He’ll stop and look around and spit out the answer. It’s amazing to watch.
