Sliders

Idk about Pelfrey, but standard lead times are generally anywhere between 6-12 weeks. I have a set from Avid Offroad that should be shipping to me any day now. I was quoted a 6 week lead time but a back up at powdercoating brought that up to about 8 weeks.

If anyone looks up their sliders, just know that their website isn't updated and you need to contact them directly for the order. The ones shown on their site are actually the step bars, not the true sliders that mount to frame that you can purchase. At least, this was true as of late March.

Incidentally, perhaps Avid Off-Road would be interested in becoming a vendor on here.

sliders are good thing.

I'll have to consider AVID in the future since they are fairly local to me in arizona

Thanks and I will hit them up about that.

It’s time I finally get sliders. What is the wait time like right now? @Pelfreybilt

Sorry about the delay - just getting caught up after Overland Expo West. Right now our third gen sliders are closer to 12 weeks depending on the options you're looking for. We are happy to give you a quote based on the options if you email us ([email protected])

Thank You!

I got my Pelfreybilt sliders about three weeks ago. I waited the grueling lead time for them and it was well worth it. Well built, love the design, along with the look. I also got there aluminum skids. They are local for me and that is one reason I went with them. I plan on getting there bumpers down the road. If you’re able to wait I would highly recommend Pelfreybilts products. Keep up the good work!

Are the sliders angled or flat (hard to tell from here)? Also, welcome to T3G - your rig and that color are awesome.

This upsets me. I've ordered my sliders from Mobtown Offroad and they still arent here. I ordered them March 31st 2018. and it is now June 20th 2018. Lead time is "8 weeks". It has now been 11 weeks this week. Don't put approximate lead times are 8 weeks. When you cannot hold up your end of the bargain, this deteriorates your image as a company. Products are of quality yes. But. customer service isn't up to par. It makes me reconsider that I should've went with pelfreybilt. smh.

As a manufacturer and a customer I can understand both sides of the coin. We put that our lead times are "approximate" and then add 12-14 weeks, because in our experience they have been done in about that or less. Things do happen though, and these are not off the shelf items. IT sucks when things are "late" but thats why we put approximate, because then we are in no way promising anything, just acknowledging that that is our typical lead time. They have a better lead time than us and most other fabricators though it seems. I do appreciate you thinking of us in your considerations and I dont know them personally but I know sometimes we get behind, steel shortages, vacation for fabricators, new product releases, machines going down etc etc. (You should still buy our sliders though)

Oh no i totally get that. but when youre 3 weeks past your expected work time, What the hell is taking so long? If you gotta work past 3pm, then do it to catch up on all the orders and move lead times up. I'm just saying that because at this rate, i could've ordered from you guys and not be upset about the 12-14 week lead time especially since i'll be doing a lot of my offroad trip in Ca anyways. you'd be local. and thats one factor I didn't consider when ordering. You will definitely have my business for the steel front and rear HC bumpers without a doubt in my mind.

I cant speak for them, honestly I am not sure we have ever even met them but if we are past due on items that are already in production then we typically have a very good reason. We are definitely here when you are ready to order though! We are working to partner very strongly with the 3rd Generation community.

when I bought them almost 3 months ago, their lead time is 8 weeks. only now it says up to 12 weeks with this recent website update

When did you last communicate with them and what is your order number?
