• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Ride-Rite Air Springs...Y or N?

CalifExplorer

Current setup: TRD OR long bed with ICON Stage One and ICON Add-A-Leaf. Lifted a couple inches, which is all I need.

This setup works great as a daily, or for the off-road camping I do. But when I add a rear rack and my 280-lb dirt bike, it's not enough.

So, the age-old question: Upgrade rear springs, or go with air? Is there a leaf spring setup that won't ruin the ride but also carry more weight? Any significant ride problems with air?

This has surely been asked before, but I haven't found any substantial info.

I love my deaver stage 3's which carry 700-1000lb over stock weight. Even fully loaded she doesnt squat, and when shes unloaded it still rides super nice
