Help! Remote start

Hi all, how many here use their oem remote start? Either by key fob or Toyota app, can you bypass the truck from shutting off when you open the door? Why have a remote start for then? Just found out through the Toyota app I can do by key fob or app, just got my truck 2 weeks ago, bought used '23 pro with 31150 on the odometer
