Help! Passenger side knocking noise

Apparently this is normal thing for Toyota Tacomas? The engine knocking noise? Not sure if I need to take apart the entire engine but here’s a video of the sound. I’ve read so many threads but also listened to some toyotas online that don’t sound like that

Yeah I’ve watched a few other videos and kinda sound the same. Would you say this sounds the same ?

I'd say so, my truck has the same "ticking" kind of noise but the knocking isn't normal

Thanks for the reply. I’m thinking it’s a lifter issue in the engine valve. Hopefully I can make it to NC which is 600 miles away

i believe the ticking is the high pressure fuel pump, but the knocking doesn't sound great. i'm amazed at how noisy this engine is, and i had an FJ prior to this.

I realize its been a while since you posted this but just curious if you still have this truck. How is it driving and sounding now ?

Sounds like an exhaust leak or loose spark plug.
