Other Hobbies

Fishing…as back as I can remember…many of the best fishing spots…was to go where most people could not go…sandy beaches, lava trail roads, fishing off the lava cliff sides…often camping for several days…
Our style of shoreline fishing requires 24/7..targeting day time fishes, night time species…especially the “Ulua”’s. Which can grow over 100 lbs…
My main reason to get into off roading…today almost everyone who goes fishing has. 4x4…..now the thing is to get there first! Lol

Next thing after I retired…I realize I did not plan very well….I got into buying stocks …this has turn into a new passion for me…
If You can get started a investment plan , ….putting 5-10% each monthly pay..into the stock markets…you may find yourself “RICHER…many , many years from now…
Alway invest for the long long term stock, ETF’s…some of my investments in the last year and a half…I double my money…Costco, Microsoft, Apple, Google,

The day you started working…if you are NOT investing for retirement…then you are NOT planning …you will be the loser…
Time flies…Super fast…in a blink of a eye…you will be 60’s or older finding yourself , needing to keep working…
F -I-R-E —- Financial Independent Retire Early…. Read about the people like you , who retired before 36 years old…. Google FIRE…the power of investing…
Never invest because someone told you this stock , company is a great buy….DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH!!!
Start learning about investing… I have to tell you …watching your money grow….$$$$ is fun, beneficial…a peace of mind…
There are robo investment firm …that will invest for you…just start with few dollars each month..?
Rule of thumb…if your investment earns 8% a year, it will double every 8 years…and again every 8 years..
That is how the rich gets richer…
The minute you decide you want to retire with a richer life? Then change the way you are living…READ, Study, learn everything you can about investing…
Expect to make mistakes, bad investments….hopefully the right ones will out way the bad ones..
Aloha

I get interested in working on this about twice a year. Was my dads ever since I can remember. It’s what I learned to drive in. I always start dreaming of driving it around town. Just gets overwhelming the amount of work that needs to be done to it and the little amount of time I got to work on it. My hope is that when my 7 year old daughter gets old enough to drive, she will be able to drive it and make the boys jealous. 1C4022A0-D665-449A-8DD5-F59227D550BE.webp870E0E1D-71EF-4042-A8F5-FEFB0FB950B9.webp

My main hobby is hunting. Although I grew up on a farm I'm self taught. I always wanted to when I was a kid but none of the adults in the family did bc we always had beef. I later turned it into a career.

I also like restoring/restomoding M416 trailers when I can find them at a good price.

Along with wood working, fishing, traveling, and raising a family

Ah, quite a few hunters here. I'm not surprised! I also fancy myself a certain kind of hunter, but my prey is much smaller. I should say that I do this for fun but also to catalog the biodiversity where ever I go. It's not stamp collecting, this actually has scientific value. A museum will one day get my collection (~3000 specimens so far).

In the winter, collecting guns and ammo, lots of ammo.
In the summer, using said guns and ammo, then cleaning and using again...as much as possible.
There's something therapeutic about shooting....and the smile it puts on ones face when they realize that its fully auto.
