• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

New Guy Here....

Found your site when searching for answers that my dealer couldn't answer. You folks are an excellent resource for Tacoma newbies like me. Thanks for letting me join the family!
Welcome and thank you for the kind words.

Welcome, I found this place under similar circumstances. This forum is a wealth of knowledge and inspiration for whatever you need to do with your truck.
Same to you as well.

I can neither confirm, nor deny that. But yeah we had Alpha models and Cobra's when I joined in '03. Those Alphas got phased out for Deltas. Then I got medically discharged in '12.
Armament dawg or a window licker? lol

I was an MI warrant and linguist. Now I also work for the Army as a DA civilian - can't beat a double retirement!

Where have you been stationed? I remember Apaches being just about everywhere I was!
@Chaz And @TCOTUE - Thank you both for your service! SALUTE!

This could be a problem for my delivery tomorrow.....

I got this off of another site from @JFanaselle. Looks like a train carrying new Tacomas and 4Runners (among other things) derailed in Utah last Friday due to flash flooding. The three crew members were evacuated okay, but it looks like quite a few vehicles, the engines, and the tracks were damaged. Unfortunately, this will delay the deliveries of many folks. I hope my truck wasn't in this shipment, but I'm still waiting to hear back from my sales guy since he was off earlier this week.

Good news! I found out that my Tacoma wasn't on this train.....
The bad news? My delivery got pushed to the right... probably to Monday/Tuesday (hopefully) 😟

Anyone know what this rubber nipple thing is on the passenger side? I was scouting places in the firewall to pass through an antenna cable and saw this. I was too tired last night to poke around, so I figured I would ask the experts!

A lot of people cut off the nipples. Use wire grease to help push it through if it's snug. Then you can zip tie it from the outside if you want that extra waterproofing.

That’s exactly what I did! I was able to get the power cables and coax for my ham radio through that nipple. Worked like a champ!
