Lord Humongous's Tow-coma

My drivers side inner CV boot blew out and slung grease everywhere. I talked to the dealer and it should be fixed tomorrow under warranty. If they give me any business because of the lift or gears I'll just install the SDHQ upgrade boots so win win ?

Wow. That's an awesome dealer

They've always treated me well. They always have a few of the dealer lifted tacos/ 4runners so I think they are pretty mod friendly.
The boot rubber is still very supple so I dont think CV angle is an issue. The tear is right where the boot clamp is placed, it's seems like the clamp was too tight causing the boot damage. Hard to explain but the boot is pinched in near the clamp.

Not how I wanted to spend a 108 degree June day ? dealer wouldn't do it. Interesting story actually...If I had more miles on the truck and was under my extended warranty instead of the toyota 60k powertrain warranty they would've replaced it. I can tell the whole story later but dont have the energy for it.....

Tiny hole big headache

The joints were still in like new condition. No obvious abnormalities or wear.

All rebuilt with the SDHQ boots. The quality and feel of the race style boots definitely surpasses the OEM boots.

With that, the front diff oil was also changed. The nitro gears are holding nicely. The royal purple oil I drained out was still purple and no fragmentation on the drainplug.

I went ahead and had the tires mounted up. They look BIG compared to the previous setup. I like it! So far so good as far as fitment. No frame, UCA, or other rubbing. I did have to trim and hammer a small piece off the bottom of the fender flare that I missed before.
Suprisingly to me these tires balanced very well and the ride id very smooth and quite for an offroad tire. (I'll update because even Super Swampers ride pretty good when they are brand new).
