Seems odd they would only have it for one year. Reading the article make is sound fairly ornamental though, like the hood scoop.

It didn’t seem popular. The snorkel they chose wasn’t the best one on the market.

The TRD version really wasn't that good looking. It was just odd up on the top and didn't fit with anything. They could have done better and I'm not surprised they are discontinuing it.

considering it wasnt a proper snorkel either (hence the name desert air intake) i wasnt surprised it only lasted a year.
