Hi All,

I changed the interior lights (map, dome, vanity) in my 2108 TRD Off Road to LED's. They worked fine for a bit then blew the fuse. I replaced the 7.5 amp fuse and reinstalled the stock bulbs. Now the lights are working but wont turn off unless I turn the map light switch off. Has anyone experience anything like this?

I had some weird interior light gremlins. I swapped all my visor, map and dome lights to LEDs. They all worked except for the dome light no matter the switch position ( I also flipped the bulb to check polarity). I read that Tacomas get squirrely with electrical if you don't unhook the battery. Weeks later I got some LED bulbs in for the headlights and fog lights. I unhooked the battery when I swapped them and when I started the truck to test, my dome light was magically working and has been ever since.

I swapped my 21 interior lights to led over 2 weeks ago and haven’t had any issues. Bought the lights from extremeterrain. Love them so far

Wouldn't you want the map lights to be off to turn them off?
Just to verify, the maps are the 2 toggle switch ones in the front.

Sometimes the dome light toggle can be out of place. Just re-seat it again, the notch can be one over.
Also take into account the short light times from when being near with the fob and when they are supposed to be on.

Maybe just sit there with the truck running. Toggle the dome light switches front and rear. When the door is opened it'll turn on for a bit. Might have to wait it out a little for the default times.

Domes have the position switch.
Map is a push toggle.
Vanity lights affected or only when the flaps are open?
Which lights won't turn off?
