I have been waiting to add an auxiliary reverse light since last Christmas when I was gifted a Rigid Ignite and finally got all the parts I needed to finish up the install yesterday.

3/4" Paddle bit
5/32" Drill Pit
3/32" Allen Wrench
I would also reccomend a silver sharpie to trace the template but yellow was all I had on hand

Use a pick to puncture the plastic bumper cover making sure the hole is centered between the metal opening in the bumper. The rigid light just barely squeezes in there if placed vertical. Alternate placement would be to unclip the wiring harness and re-clip it into the top of the metal tab to give you more clearance to move the light up some but you will either have to glue the light in place or drill a hole in the metal portion of the bumper to be able to use the mounting screws.

Cutout the provided template and trace it on the bumper while centering it on the hole you made.

I marked and drilled my mounting holes at this point but if I was doing this again I would wait until I had the light mounted in the hole before performing this step as my top mounting hole was just a little off after filing the opening.

Drill out the hole using the paddle bit.

Use a combination of round and flat files to square up the hole.

Make sure to add a plug to the end of the ignite prior to bolting the light up since it will be easier to do off the truck.

This is the Curt adapter used to add a 5-way trailer harness to an existing 7-way receptacle. I chose to use this so I didn't have to splice into my factory harness and it also provided the wiring for the brake lights if I ever decide to add a third brake light to my Softopper.

First step is to cut off the plug and seal up the unused wire with adhesive heat shrink. I left about a foot of wire on the curt harness but depending on your wire routing you might need to leave it shorter or longer.

Wire in your preferred connector making sure to have the blue (reverse) wire matched to the ignite's red wire and the white (ground) wire matched to the ignite's black wire. I don't have a wire gauge but my best guess is the wires on the ignite are 22-24 AWG and the wires on the curt harness are 16-18 AWG so make sure to take this into account when choosing a connector. I am using a Metri-Pack 280 connector but an amp or deutsch connector would probably also work.

Wrap the harness in some tape to keep all the wires together.

I didn't want to drop the spare so I removed the license plate which gave me enough room to route the wires along the factory harness to the trucks trailer connection. I don't have any pictures of the curt harness installed but there is a tab on the top of the trucks harness you depress to unplug it and then just plug the curt harness in.
