High ltft b2

1️⃣ Getting Started...
Had 4or 5 cylinder codes and limp mode.found broke flap in the intake.bushing is missing and not sitting on valves. Guess truck ate it. After repair it seems a lot better but still have several misfire codes. Still Very rough idle
When it does let me get above 3000rpn it evens out and sounds good.
Showing a 39% ltftb2 and goes down to 5 w acceleration
Next step suggestion.

I would like to try to help but I am having trouble following your message. You might want to take your time and reply with carefully outlined and detailed information on what happened? Some of the questions I have as I am trying to follow your post are:
What flap in the intake is broken?
What bushing is missing?
What are the misfire codes you are getting?
What did you do as a repair?

If you will give a more detailed clear explanation, I will do my best to help. No promises that I will know the answer, but I will do my best to help once I can better follow what happened to your Tacoma.

Acis in the intake manifold. Replaced with used one from a 2023.apparently there is a bushing on the inside where this acis flap is .some people have found the bushing resting on top on an intake valve. Mine was not in the intake manifold or sitting on top of any valve
Getting p301/3/5/6/0
With occasional p0174
So far replaced plugs /intake manifold /cleaned maf/cleaned cam pos sensor

Also. Really bad idle but sounds good when rpm’s are higher 2-4000 sitting in neutral until it goes into what I think is limp mode then it won’t go over 2k rpm

The additional information helps quite a bit.

A few things jump out at me:

  • P0174 (Bank 2 lean) combined with a 39% LTFT on Bank 2 indicates the ECM is adding a huge amount of fuel.
  • Since the ACIS bushing is missing, I'd be concerned it was ingested by the engine. If it bounced around in a cylinder it could have bent an intake valve, or nicked a piston.
  • The fact that it idles very rough but smooths out at higher RPM makes me wonder if you have a sealing problem (valve) or a vacuum leak that is less noticeable under load.

I'd recommend:

  1. Compression test all six cylinders.
  2. If compression is low, inspect the cylinder with a borescope.
  3. Smoke test the intake to rule out a vacuum leak around the intake manifold or any hoses.

I hope that helps.

Been looking at low mileage replacement engines bc I had that feeling. About 6k for low mileage one. I’ll report back when I test compression. Don’t have smoke machine but did spray around w carb cleaner s no luck
