• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

As most of you know, I’ve been quiet on the forum for the last 2 weeks because I’ve been driving across the country. We left NY to spend the next 4 months in the PNW and other west-ish states.

In this thread, I’m quickly sharing my favorite photos from the 3,500 mile route we took from NY to OR.

We had never heard of Cabela's but were pleased to find out some of their stores allow overnight parking.

Penny peed on our bed because we forgot to let her out. The pee went through our "waterproof" mattress protector. Paige and the dogs slept on the floor while I slept on a small sliver of the bed that wasn't wet.

A big gimmick.

This truck is tall.

Another spot we really enjoyed.

The driving position in these trucks is SO uncomfortable. On my lower back, especially.

No shower in 2 weeks and I love it.

Arriving at our destination to attend our first expo. Hood River, OR.

This view is insane!

Our first expo was a success.

How's this for dispersed camping?

My first thought was “did they take rt. 90?” and you must have. Cuyahoga national park is 30 minutes from me. Great pics. If you take 90 going back let me know.

Living the dream right there! Doing a road trip like this is on my bucket list for sure!

After coming to Oregon how in the world could you go back to New York?

I reeeeally don't want to not be in the western states. So, I'm not sure how I managed to get back to NY. :(
