• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Just picked up this 2016 TRD offroad with 16k on the clock. Truck came with the mods shown besides the window tint, that’s a must for me, otherwise the truck is completely stock. First real plans for mods are ditching the nerf bars for sliders and possibly a leveling kit, it does rub with 285/70’s every so often off road. It’s primarily a daily driver who will weekend warrior as a trail/overlanding rig.

Welcome to T3G and congrats on your truck! Good choice on ditching the nerf bars for sliders. Is that stil stock suspension?

Thanks! Yes it’s stock suspension. I was thinking some 5100’s though if I was to swap it out.

Welcome aboard.

Welcome and nice score!! Best color choice too. ?

You should look into a cab mount chop/CMC. That'll likely help a lot with your rubbing issue with the 285's.
