2️⃣ Bronze
Just finished my first modification on my first Taco (2017 TRD Sports double cab). Due to a limited budget, DECKED drawers, a GFC rooftop tent, a winch, etc. didn't make the list this time: phased out for later once I actually know I need them.
Here's what went into it:
Suspension:
Bilstein B8 6112/5100, 2" leveling kit. 6112 up front (assembled, set at the #9/#11 circlip position), 5100s in the rear. Went with 2" specifically: that's the sweet spot on this platform for clearing 33s without pushing CV angles or ball joints somewhere they don't want to be. Skipped the bigger kits; wasn't solving a problem I actually have (tbh I'm just too poor to replace the control arms).
Wheels:
Vision Off-Road 351 Flow, 16x8, matte bronze, 6x139.7. Went bronze on purpose to play off the Inferno Orange: it's just cheaper than the black ones, and figured they looks nice with the paint.
Tires:
Toyo Open Country A/T III, 285/75R16, right in 33" territory, no regear needed at this size (that's more of a 35"+ conversation).
Skid Plate:
Genuine Toyota TRD front skid plate, repainted satin black before install instead of running the stock silver/white.
Total ran me around ~$4300 all-in, parts and labor. Happy to answer questions on any of it.

Also, I am wondering how should I deal with my old 17'' wheels and tires? Since I am currently in PA and will be back to WI in 2 weeks, I really don't want to carry a set of wheels for a 11 hrs drive... Any suggestions?
