Anyone have one and mod them? I figured it was dumb to start the truck to walk a 1/4 mile to and from my mailbox.
Walking is 3-4 mph.
Scooter goes 18mph and I could fit a homie behind me. I was looking at mods and saw they are out there. A lot of them are on French forums.

Seeing if anyone had any experience.

You mean like the kind that are getting left all over the place in bigger cities? I was thinking about nabbing a pair to see if I could strip them for parts to make an electric go-kart :)

So I got it. It's a Segway Ninebot ES4.
Flashed some firmware and got it to 22mph.

Took it outside for a first ride. Hit about 12mph. Nope. Scares me. I got it to around 18mph and I just don't know...

I then started looking into electric go karts and stuff. Instantly regretting what I spent on it.
I haven't seen a decent one made from scooters. One guy used the children's Razor one.
A lot of people just convert an alternator.
Would really come down to how fast you want it to go.

People making it out of weldless frames, wood and PVC. Wild.
I need these. Would totally give it a shot if I had a welder. Makes me sad I have a bunch of tools that I bought and don't even use. I was just afraid I would just make it a habit to weld dicks onto things,
