I do not know if these are a must and haven't had any problems yet, but pretty cheap insurance. Just need to find time to install. I have been looking around and don't see a lot of information on whether to replace the outer seals at the same time?
I will definitely be installing these soon and I am retaining my sway bar which is why I went with TC. I tried running without the sway bar and I did not like how it felt. I didn't feel unsafe, just didn't care for the on road handling characteristics.

Did you replace this outer seal when you upgraded your spindles? Trying to determine if this should be done at the same time.

Yes. I replace all seals and/or gaskets while I’m in there.
