Deck Side Box

These stopped being a thing in the newer trucks. Bugs me too and they're $$ to buy from Toyota but rare to find used. From what I can tell there's nothing preventing you from gathering the parts and installing the box, just need to cut the hole in the bed and throw it on.

It's on my list of future mods, haven't gotten to it yet though.

Do you know of any after market ones that would work?

Here are some.

Thx, I can find beat to hell used ones. But my truck has 3600 miles on it, want something clean lol. Probably end up just buying new. :/

I realize this is an old discussion but I bought a new storage from Amazon and installed in my 2023 Offroad. Biggest trouble was cutting the hole (5-1/2" x 14-3/4") in the bed material. I made a pretty big mess and burnt up one multi-tool blade. But, I got 'er done and I like it.

I suppose they dropped it just to save a little money. However, I have mild concern that if you ever intend to put two 2x4's in that recess made for them, the hole for the box is immediately below one of the recesses and the hole could weaken the support. I suppose it would still provide substantial support though. And,the box sure provides a nice cubby for carrying my jumper cables.
