Chips

Most if not all of the "tuner chips" for the Tacoma do not work and sometimes cause problems. Instead of a chip a proper tune would be the way to go. The Overland Tailor Tune (OTT) seems to be the favorite one. Another alternative that helps with how the throttle is mapped but doesn't actually change the performance just how the throttle acts is the pedal Commander.
 
+1 for getting a flash tune. I really like my tailored KDMax, but there's a ton to choose from.

Eat chips, don't plug them into your truck.
