I organize a local 4x4 toy run every year that is usually followed by a 4x4 adventure. Some of the people go all out decorating their vehicle. Me not so much.
On July 1 last summer, the small town of Lytton was demolished within a few hours by a wildfire. People had literally 15 minutes to get the hell out. Sadly. There is still little signs of them starting to rebuild. They have been screwed over and forgotten about by provincial and federal government.
In Match we went for a short drive in hills surrounding the town.
Put up some new signs in the local ORV park hoping to deter people from going in tjr sensitive were areas. The cows thanked me for putting up new scratching posts...
Made a quick and easy shelf behind the seats. I wanted to remove the rear seats but sometimes I have passengers in the back. I was going to buy a sheet of plywood for over $100 and cover it in carpeting until I saw these 24x24 pieces for $10 each.... I will paint the ends black and see how they hold up. The tubs underneath are from Princess Auto (Canadian Harbour Freight) and for perfect. They hold my recovery gear.
I still have to do something for the middle.
I put my Dometic fridge on the drivers side. I think I will put my awning on the drivers side also. What side have you done?
I picked this up last weekend I originally wanted to go with a canopy with sleeping and storage inside but I am paying for everything cash as well as paying my credit cards down I need something to haul my kayak and this popped up. I paid $200. It was made for it! I have replaced the front strap with turnbuckle down to the tie down.
I get a hell of a wind noise, so I will work on a fairing. If that does not work, I will get rid of the part above the cab. That is where the noise is coming from.
Will also work on mounts for my shovel and axe. As well as a mount for my awning.
My tires are finally in! 255/85R16 Toyo muds. I ordered Falken muds in tje same size but they are still on backorder. My guy and his wholesaler worked our a deal where I get the Toyo's for the same price! Getting them installed tomorrow.
ARB makes a very good diff breather kit. Install mines in the rear driver side taillights. I like camper tops too. If anyone buying a camper top, make sure you buy the removable rear window ( inside the camper), to be able to clean outside windows of rear cab and camper window ,facing the cab. Plus any debris falls in between you can reach it. The space between is so tight.
