Buying suspension lift parts separately

I've heard of other people doing this setup for $500. I can only seem to find the parts for around $800. Should I be looking anywhere else?

I did something similar and found a majority of my parts on Ebay. The only thing I did not buy on ebay was my coils, went with OME 888's and i got them toyteclifts.com
