Under 3k would be nice. I have a mt rainier from cvt and it’s awesome. But I’d like to get a camper shell and would prefer if that big brick of a tent wasn't on top, not to mention the weight issue. Hard shells seem to be a little more aerodynamic And lighter. (I saw mr. Nobody’s youtube on his set up with the camper shell and it sold me.)
 
Thanks for watching 👍. I know CVT has a new hardshell out as well. Among many others. There's so many now it's hard to keep up.
 
I have a soft shell RTT from this company. It's pretty solid. Shipping was free which was a bonus. They are made and assembled in China so you get the typical bad instructions and somehow mine was filled with aluminum shavings when I first opened it. Its a good solid value tent.
 
Anyone else notice that tent prices have been going up and up and up during the COVID? Happy I got mine last year for almost half of what I last saw it going for on Amazon before it disappeared altogether.
 
I have this tent, just got it last month, but so far I like the design.. it sets up in about a minute.. takedown is about 3minutes from full setup with 2 people.. 1 person is a bit harder trying to get the lower rain flaps/dust seal to get up into the hardshell portion I have not come up with bedding yet that fits with it closed.. I imagine a set of sheets for the mattress and, a lightweight sleeping bag/blanket will work great, and fold up into the tent.. however with the fold out floor folded in.. there is room to put some items such as a lightweight blanket, inside the pillow bag they provide... the 2 pillows are kinda small/thin, but perfect for packing other items into the bag. the tent came with a TON of accessories that I am honestly still trying to figure out there are 2 rubber mats I can only assume are for the ladder but have yet to find documentation, or pictures of their placement/purpose... it also came with a USB flexible lightbar that velcro around the interior spreader bar.. it works well and draws minimal power from my powerbrick.. I was able to purchase this one for about $1800 buddy of mine had a coupon code to order direct from OVS.. tent was shipped from CA to my house in Maine... in about 9 days..

it fits well on my tacoma long bed rack... , and is short enough that with some brackets from Tractor supply I was able to fit my 4.5' ironman awning..

if you'd like I can upload more pics before leaving cell service on Thursday the 18th..

Great setup!! Can you confirm if you have the "Bushveld" or the "Bushveld 2" model of RTT on top of your rack? Trying to decide between the two models and the length is my only concern. Would be nice to see both mounted on long box taco but pics are hard to find online.
