This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.
Looking for tire recommendations. I have a 3/2 lift and I’m running 265/70/17 and they look pretty small.
Love your wheels. This is what I’m looking at getting. Had the bronze ones on my white first gen tundra.I was able to get 285/70r17 with the spacer lift and never had any rubbingView attachment 10016
I’ve got the same setup with 16’s
Depends how much you are willing to cut/massage. ultimately, 37's are about it without comepletely remodeling the footwells.
It felt pretty good to cut it up and squeeze them in there. Sit about same height as a lot of local guys do on 33’s (because they all run 3.5-4” lifts). On a 3/2?? That’s so knarly but intriguing at the same time. ?

I had it easy. It’s her truck and she wanted them.Mmm I can hear it now....

Fronts are fine. They are trimmed enough to be close to mounts and body lines. The rear needs to be braced. We are building into the rear bumper so keep things simple. How sturdy are the fenders now. I’ve cut out on jeeps and always hated that they “flopped” around. Did you reinforce them at all?

I think a lip you can fold in and bolt a bracket to would be best option to keep a factory type bracket in there. May even be able to modify factory bracket to workNice! I was wondering that and if it would be worth it to add a lip back to the cut off portion to add strength.
