Auto tailgate lock

I recently installed a pop and lock to auto lock my tailgate with the auto lock system. It is pretty loud when it locks and unlocks. I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with any type of insulation to help quiet the noise.

Mine is loud too, it's a big open resonant box inside the gate. You could add some dynomat to see if that helps. Wouldn't need to do the whole thing most likely.
