Now I have to say, stock speakers in the Tacoma (in my opinion) are pretty good. I have the bass turned up all the way, but some songs make me want subs..

Does anybody have subs and or a speaker setup? If so what would you recommend?

Lot's of DIY options out there. For a simple plug and play, to get better sound quality and a sub, I like the OEM Audio+ stuff. We've installed quite a few here at the shop, and it's a super simple install. Won't win you any sound competitions, but it will definitely improve your audio and give you the bump from the sub you're after. Just my 2cents

One of the last installs I personally did

As Derek stated, OEM Audio stuff is top notch! I have seen it personally, build quality is there.

Now me personally, I swapped the head unit to the Joying 9" Android. I still have stock speakers, but the Joying allows me to fine tune the audio settings to my liking.

I have added a small powered sub under my drivers seat, it gave me the punch I was looking for. Some days I wish I went with a more traditional set up, but for the $100 price tag, my set up suffices my needs.

Edit: I'll find a pic of my sub set up for you

Here's the link to the thread I made a few months back.

Yea I'm definitely replacing my head unit, already know which one it should be in my build thread Idr tbh

I've added all new speaker wires, running 6.5in and 1in rockford fosgate in the front and a 6.75 3 way Rockford Fosgate in the rear doors. A JL stealthbox for the boom. powered by xd700/5 amp. wired it all myself and was my first time doing it.

installed a joying unit like tcotue above, on Saturday. its loud when it needs to be.

That's some fine looking cable management right there! Good work my friend!

Super jealous about that Stealthbox. I want one, but couldn't stomach the asking price.
