Hey everyone. I've had my truck since October 2019 now, it's the longest I've kept a vehicle and have no hint of getting rid of it. Has anyone had their AC charge checked at any point? I've been driving our Golf R (2024) mostly and that AC chills, my Tacoma not as much. I can't remember if that's how it always was or if it might need a little top off after 5.5 years.

Hope everyone is doing well with their 3rd gens!

There's no such thing as topping off an AC unit, if you have to top off your AC it means you have a leak. You should look under the hood and see if you see any kind of all oily dust residue on or around the refrigerant lines. Nowadays Technology using different kinds of refrigerant are actually make some colder than others. Look under the Golf and see what refrigerant it is using and compare with the Tacoma's. My Tacoma is a 2019 and it's still cold and humid days blowing smoke.
