Is there a gear swap out there for the reverse gear on a manual trans?
I know about the 2low range wire harness set up, but I would like to just have a lower ratio (higher numerically) in the trans. Are the newer jeep manuals the same as ours? they both seemed to change the location of reverse gear placement about the same time on the 6spd's (to the left and forward compared to earlier years to the right and back).
I still plan on the 2low range harness but wanted to see if anyone else had headed down this path and gained knowledge. Thanks for any input...... except to buy an automatic (won't happen).
