Purchased July 1st 2017 with full intentions of an overland rig being inspired mainly by defconbrix's 2nd gen and immediately had to take it offroading to see what she can do

The mods started off slow till I won a giveaway on facebook from Boss 4x4 for toytec front adjustable coils which I paired with the rear shocks and add a leaf. I also removed the Tacoma Badge, everything off the back, and the TRD Offroad Stickers because offroading in that clay pretty much made all of those uncleanable, I like the sleek badgeless look anyhow.

A local 2nd gen owner has this incredible man cave with a lift for easy install

Then snagged a Leer XR cap off craigslist for $800 and of course had to grab the areushop amazon pro grill

Once I saved my pennies I was able to get some mobtown offroad sliders with a 285/75r16 st maxx for my method 305 nv's from a local shop in Jersey called TnT 4x4's

I primed and painted the sliders myself with some Rustollium

And as of now I just threw on my Uniden PR0250XL CB radio using the Ragofabrications taillight mount

Once I have the funds I will be upgrading the UCA to a delta joint from Icon and get pelfreybilt armor so I can carry that full sized spare on the back and just look cool driving around the mall parking lots. I have an offroad camping trip to Flagpole Knob in VA next month so I'll actually have some offroading pictures then.

really doesn't make a difference, going into a turn jug handle turn (which im pretty sure is just a NJ thing) you lean to the side but other then that don't even notice.

Figured I’d add some update to this but there isn’t much yet, I made a bed platform temporarily which actually I’ll make a full drawer system in a couple weeks, but I have ordered cbi front and rear bumpers I’m waiting for maybe another month. Besides adding a diff breather and removing my front plate it’s been saving money to go all out when these bumpers arrive!

Cbi rear high clearance dual swing arm installed only problem was cbi gave me the wrong lugs after I welded them on, was the wrong thread pattern 12x1.25 and I had to go to the store and look for it. Bbbuuuttttt cbi front bumper should be here eventually?

Nice! Is there some kind of a template they send with the bumper for the cuts on the bed? I ordered mine about 3 months ago and I'm still waiting... I bought both the CBI T3 front and the CBI high clearance rear bumper but I don't think I'm going to install the front now. I just love the stock look.

Front bumper got installed today! Next will need to be skids, upper control arms, a lot of recovery gear, prinsu, snorkel, and then all of the lights. By then I’m sure my tires will be bald so regear and 35s. Itll be a long time but those are a big chunk of the next set of items to add.

That’s what it took for me, make sure all your bolts and nuts are correct my front and rear and incorrect lugs for the spare and then incorrect bolts for the front support

Cool, thanks for the heads up. I think I might be missing some bed side supports. Is there supposed to be shortened bed supports included?

I don’t think so, just bolts up to what’s already attached to the bumper. Also you leave the black plastic underneath the taillight I removed it because we weren’t sure but my buddy didn’t, just looks the slightest bit nicer.

Oh ok, the instructions say to install the CBI bedside supports but their instructions are a little confusing anyway.

Yeah, it's from the T3 HC installation instructions. You're supposed to drill a couple of holes under the plastic fender flare to attach the other end of the support. I emailed them about it.

OK, so I just got an email from CBI a little bit ago. It turns out that it was supposed to have their shortened bed supports. They just asked for my address and said that they were going to send them out. I wonder if it's going to take 4 months to get the supports delivered too. The wait begins...

At least I shouldn’t need to deal with them again I pretty much (regrettably) got the whole catalog but wish I had the relentless fab ones
