Hello everyone. Just found your forum and I hope someone can help me with the ignition cylinder lock replacement. I have read the FSM re: the removal of the cylinder lock but if there is a video showing the removal of it, that would be sooooooooooooo much easier than trying to understand the manual. My truck has the transponder electronics which makes removal more challenging. Thank you.
I found a youtube video showing the removal and replacement of a 2016 tacoma corolla ignition lock cylinder. From appearance, it's 100% identical to my setup. So before I remove the old ignition cylinder lock, I need to program the two keys that came with the new cylinder lock. I still want to do the programming myself without having to pay mucho dinero. I have looked on Amazon for a programmer tool to plug into the OBD connector, but am not having any luck. Can anyone direct me to a programmer tool for a '16 tacoma with an H key? And I can't afford Tech Stream.
