***Installation***
3/8" Ratchet
12mm Deep Socket​

04152-YZZA1 Filter
15620-31060 Filter Holder
90301-17017 Filter Holder Gasket
15692-75011 Filter Holder Gasket B
15643-31050 Drain Plug
96723-35028 Drain Plug Gasket

1. Remove two bolts and one nut.
2. Install new gaskets
3. Bolt new housing on, reusing same hardware (18 lb ft)

***Oil Change***​

You can use the plastic drain nipple that comes with the oil filter- I find it hard to push in and remove, so I'm using the Filter Drain below.
The 14-flute filter wrench can work on the bottom of the canister housing but people have reported stripping it, so I'm using the Filter Wrench below

When the filter is screwed off lots of oil runs down the sides- it’s a little messy. 4cyl guys have developed all sorts of methods to catch/control the oil.

This makes it possible to use the 3.5L canister/filter, specifically the drain at the bottom- makes for a no fuss change. I’m a fan of the Jowett canister because of the Fumoto valve on the bottom, I don’t care for the plastic nipple that comes with the filter. The Jowett will work for the 3.5L too.
