Having gears installed in my truck 4.88s after doing my research and checking on what size rear diff I have I assumed that it was a 8.75 well folks that is not correct it’s a 8.2 so the shop who is installing them have been running into major problems has anyone had this rear end and any issued with gear install

I don't think you can improvise. You need gears for the proper diff size
