Is a 12000lb winch too much for my 2019 Tacoma?

Rule of thumb I’ve read is vehicle weight * 1.5 = recommended winch rating. Tacoma weighs around 4K so the absolute minimum you’d want is around 6K. The more weight you have on your truck, the more dicey situations you want to be able to winch out of the higher rating you should go. I see most people do between 9K and 10K and do fine. 12K is probably a bit overkill. Not sure if that burly of a winch would have any issues mounting/fitting like lower rated ones can.

It’s a hitch mounted winch and I didn’t realize how heavy it is
