• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

    Mountain hatch, why?

I'm with you on this. They are cool for sure, and I'm tempted since someone is selling a used Mountain Hatch near me for a fair price. However, I have to look at it practically. The number of beers that Ive spilled because I carelessly set it down on my tailgate while camping: Two. Lost...

Life pro tip: When folding the rear seats down, use these holes for the headrests

I'll throw in one that someone else blew my mind with a while back. Hit the voice command button and say "show doppler radar."

    Warranty TSB-0092-20 Works Well

He probably padded some wait time in there, since most dealers can't get to your truck the instant it rolls on the lot. The actual flash takes about two minutes.

    Help! Please help..

A lot of people fixed this issue by using an OBD reader (and/or Techstream) to reset the error codes. I'd try that before paying for a recalibration at the dealer.

Life pro tip: When folding the rear seats down, use these holes for the headrests

👍 Derivative life tip, put the headrests in that spot after you fold the seat backs down, and remove / set aside before you raise the seat back. Especially if you keep your front seats in a realistic long-legged setting. Its a first-world annoyance to have to find a spot and set the headrests...

    New wheels/tires...beginner question

Check out online dealerships and parts wholesalers, they vary daily on who has free shipping and who is discounting. I've seen them go for less than $700 for a set, delivered.

    New wheels/tires...beginner question

I've been eyeballing the 4Runner Pro wheels for a while. I just might pull the trigger on these later this year. They are reasonably priced, come in black, gray, or bronze, and of course, already Toyota branded.

    Where can I make 80k a year?

Old-ish thread, Way back in the before-afore times, I was dragged onboard one of those cheesy sunset cruises around some island harbor, along with 50 or so other drunk tourists. I happened to strike a convo with the captain and found that far more fascinating than whatever crap we were...

Cheeto's "Build it with Plastidip" 2WD nonsense thread.

Hello and thank you for the add! New guy signing in here, just checking out the forum and seeing what its all about. I have bad news for you all, my build thread isn't going to be great or exciting. Its mostly full of small practical things that help me do my camping thing along with a bunch...
