    Well we moved to Dixon, Mo and now have a farm out here. Still have the truck, but we’re now about 1.5 hours from Springfield. Going to be going to Rendezvous in the Ozarks later this month.

    You can get one from a wrecked second gen. Cut the hole in the side and install. I got mine from a buddy and did this.

    I have the 2 lo in my truck. One of the originals. It works good. Mainly good for backing up boats and stuff like that. I’ve used it rarely on the trails.

    I’m not sure if I’ve specifically tried that one. I test a lot of tunes. I’m not going to say KD is bad, I’m just offering the suggestion that there are others out there that offer.. differences. Better engine numbers. Less knock. Those types of things.

    Gears Grinding Violently

    It doesn’t will hold the vehicle. Unless it senses throttle input. If the throttle input is less than what the engine can move the truck it’ll roll backward and the abs will modulate and that’s the sound you’re hearing more than likely. I still suggest giving it some more skinny pedal.

    It’s the hill climb feature. If you start rolling backwards or don’t give it enough gas it modulates the ABS system and will even go as far as killing the engine. Just give it a bit of gas and you won’t have any issues.

    I had a 95 on the roof. Just strapped down it did not move at all. now I had a smaller 83 (the lower profile one) and it’s just strapped too. Neither moved on my rack and they’re easy to pull off by taking the straps out.

    I would not change the alternator on the 3rd gen unless it’s bad. It’s cheaper to find someone to flash 2.0 OV Tune and do the alternator tuning. IMO. 2 cents.

    Vibration after lift

    this is a good idea. Straighten the drive line out a bit. Carrier bearings are known for having premature wear after lift, and no one usually checks them. I need to do mine probably.
