• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Something about the emoticons looks changed. I'm on/off here a lot, so I'm not sure. Is it that they didn't used to say the name next to them? Unless that was a purposeful change.

Bandcamp is the way to go, for me. A lot of the money actually goes to the artist, and I like that I can just convert the FLAC files to MP3s and store it all locally on my phone. Especially good for when I lose service. The other streaming services are pathetic with ads, and don't give the...

    ACC in the rain

You'd need two cameras for ACC. Toyota doesn't have that kind of detection yet, their camera is only for the lane keeping warnings. I'd hope you'd see far more warnings if they used the camera for ACC. Most car manufacturers aren't using cameras for detection either. Subaru and Tesla are...

I've seen very, very few false positives from radar due to rainfall feedback, and false negatives should NEVER happen from rain. Screw it. I'm developing my own Instagram style app for people like us.

You planning on posting updates in here? I'm interested in watching how this goes. I imagine there are going to be quite a few unforeseen challenges to creating social media app.

    The 3TPAM

About halfway through installing this, but had to quit due to it getting dark at 1630. I know I'm going to like it and it was a fairly simple install. My only suggestion is the instructions it shipped with, the small pictures don't work in black & white. I can't see anything in them, I...

T3G Feedback and questions about Tacoma3G.com - How can our community and website be better?

This is really interesting to me. As a new guy here, I found it very intuitive. I really appreciate that there aren't 30 different categories to post a thread under. The "recent activity" is really slick too for me to read a random thread that I would've overlooked without it. I could just be...

Ruffland Dog Kennel My dog needs to be in a crate when we drive very far, otherwise he gets overly excited; as in chases down cars as the pass (in the truck), gets spit everywhere, and is smart enough to put the windows down in the back seat. I bought this Kennel for him a while ago. It...

    Electrical Dash Cam Hardwiring

I got a dashcam that came with a fuse adapter BlackVue DR750S (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0759XDG8C/?tag=tacoma3g-20). It was fairly expensive, but I love it. The part I really like is that I can just talk to it through wifi on my phone and grab any video I need. Fuse Adatpers...

Suggested camping areas in the Northeast?

haha oh, there was my problem. I trusted Google too much at the time. Bald Eagle State Park brings up this little lake... meanwhile there's an entire forest I never knew as Bald Eagle. I'm pretty sure I hiked around there at the time. Thanks for the info though! Definitely going to be visiting a...

If you use Tacoma3G on a computer (not a phone), what is your screen's resolution?

Vivaldi (basically Chrome) 2560 x 1600 edit: just saw the poll at the top, but Vivaldi might be a weird browser anyway

This is not going to be a really interesting overlander. I'm right outside of Pittsburgh, and it's going to be trips to nowhere big, but I'm just planning on doing a lot more camping than the last few years. Truck 2019 TRD Off-Road 4x4 Manual Day I bought it Current Replacing the...
