• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Get your mind out of the gutter lol.
Anyway, I'm a new member and new to Tacomas. About a year ago my wife was in need of a new vehicle and has always wanted a Tacoma. So, we picked up a 2019 Taco. My family and I are an offroad loving one. We already have a 2015 Jeep JKU that is pretty much a dedicated rock crawler. This build will be more geared toward Overlanding, however we do want it to hold it's own on moderate to difficult trails and and of course some high speed desert stuff.

Hello and welcome to Tacoma3g! Love what you guys have done with the truck, also where you have taken it!

Keep up the awesome pics!

Welcome to T3G! Looks like you really know what you’re doing and I love that you had it on the rocks while it was still stock. That’s what everyone should do, IMO.

Keep the photos coming and let’s see that crawler Jeep! (My wife has a 2013 JKU.)

The intent was originally to build up our JKU. But then I decided to get my own JK to build instead, and let her keep hers tame. Then I actually ended up with a Tacoma.

This is hers, stock. Its original suspension is toast, so we have a 2.5” AEV lift coming next week. This Jeep has been on trails across the country, including Easter Jeep Safari, and she takes really good care of it.

Very nice man, the AEV lift will be a nice upgrade! I have yet to make it out moab. I'm a little jealous.

Nice pair of rigs you have there. Great pics. Someone in the family has skills.

Finally got rid of the stupid stock grill. They really should have just put the pro grill on all the trucks.

Really nice rigs, that grill is honestly a huge upgrade haha. I need to switch mine out.

Sweet truck. Happy with the icon setup?
I did a top tier icon on my 2018 JL, loved it. I've had my eye on the st 9 for when I decide to move past my trd pro suspension.

I'm pretty happy with it. We have had some issues with one of the rear shocks. But I believe that is good to go now. My only regret is the icon upper control arms, I wish I'd gone with spc.

Why spc?

The truck is in the shop right now getting a custom rear bumper built and regear. Bumper is almost done. The regear is waiting on bearing kits 😔.
