• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Hey y’all. Names Kris. I am a 41 year old LEO Drug Agent. Raced Jeep Speed and Offroad Cherokee XJs for years. Sold them all. Just bought my first 2019 Tacoma. Looking to build possibly an overlander rig. Idk yet just love this truck already though.

Congrats on the truck and welcome to the forum. There’s a lot to love about it and a lot of money to be spent on it.

hello! Congrats on the truck!

Welcome to the party ?!! Looks like you got the BEST color too. ?

Make sure you choose the Color in the upper right corner at the top of the page.
It's called Style Chooser, that is where you can make the Screen colors Quick Sand.

Despite the fact its quickstand it looks great haha. im just biased dont listen to me. Welcome to the forum! any questions just ask.

Welcome, the truck will also love you long time. I've had one of every generation of Tacoma, hopefully they don't come out with a new design, cause then I'll have a new truck.

Welcome! I sold my XJ for my first Tacoma back in 2015. I’m on my second Tacoma now. I miss that thing. I wish I kept it.

Here’s my ole race Jeep. I flipped it a few times. My motto was “Checker or Wrecker!” I either came off the track a winner or cam

e off being pulled off. Lol.

Ok. So for my first newb question here. To get a good lift for my Tacoma. Like 3” or so leveled. All I need to do is order four new Bilstien shocks and that does it? I don’t plan on really wheeling much at all. Maybe some very light mud and rock. But it’s my DD so I don’t want to thrash it yet. Maybe down the road a few years from now I will. But for now I just want a better ride height and clearance while keeping the same ride quality. I’ve looked all over the forum and it’s hard to pin down a good option. Below I attached a pic of what hieght I’m thinking id like. I may eventually add some weight in front for a bumper so I want to make sure I compensate for that as well. Any suggestions y’all?

I see you have the Predator Step Boards.
I just want to know how many times you hit your shin when trying to put things in the back seat.
I had the Dealer change mine after about 1 week, my shins could not take it any more.
