Looking for a platform hitch mount bike rack that can allow the tailgate to fully open. Does anyone have experience with one or can direct me to one. I have researched some and cant seem to find what I need.

Surfboard will fit with the tent on. I just didn't have them both on at the same time. It's just a soft surf rack mounted underneath. The straps go below the board.

This is as far as I got. I work to much. Main goal for now was to get the RTT up for a camping trip.

Thanks, I originally wanted to go with a shell like yours. The leer dealer kind of talked me out of it based on the weight of a tent. I couldn't get a straight answer on weight limits. Where did you buy your shell?

Wanted to share a project I have been working on. With the help of my close friend and fabricator we made a bed rack for a RTT. So far got the base done. We made the rack to bolt into the stock rail system. The center posts are removable for easy storage if not used. Here is what I'm planning...

What are the best gas cans for mounting on a bed rack. I am currently builing a bed rack for a RTT and want to incorporate mounts for gas/ water cans.

I ended up buying a CVT standard pioneer. They were on sale this past weekend.

Anyone have the smittybilt XL tent mounted on a bed rack? Read on their site it's made for a trailer mount. Seems like it work on a bed rack.

The instructions want you to cut out more of the grill than neccessary. I cut mine 1/2 less on each side. I didn't want a gap between the end bolt and plastic grill.

Took about 1 hour. Really easy.

That was epic! I travel north to Tahoe on the 395 a few time a year. Gonna make that a stop for sure. My kids will dig it and my wife will freak out so it's perfect!
