• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

    5100’s with a 1” block?

Not only that, but on trucks that have issues with axle wrap from the factory, even a 1" block runs the risk of making it worse.

    Hi-Lift bed rail mounting options

I ordered the $40 mounts from First World Problems. They're a little rough (look like torch-cut bolt holes) and use Tractor Supply-ish carriage bolts for mounting, but I wasn't going to pay $100+ for mounts based on name. They work just fine and won't rotate like the RCI mounts.

Bed Stiffeners - What do they do? Do I need them?

    Camping

Essentials for us are a 6 person tent and kennel for our 90lb rottie (if my wife and I actually want to sleep!) Otherwise, we take the basics, including an old Coleman stove, an aluminum roll-up table, two ARB chairs, and, when camping out of her truck, our 80qt Cabela's cooler. We'd not been...

Recall Latest TSB Update (Fixed Shifting)

Had it done on my wife's '17 OR. I MIGHT notice smoother shifts in lower gears, and the truck definitely isn't shifting into 5th gear by 30 mph under light throttle. Otherwise it made no real difference. I wonder if it was less noticeable in our case because we're running 4.88s, but I would...

Truck was just over a month old when it got its suspension, wheels, tires, gears, and front air locker.

Tacoma3G's Instagram Directory || Have a truck page? Share it here!

@SubCultureNM But be warned: it's mostly our Jeep, our dogs, and beer. Once we actually start using the Tacoma more, more pics of it will be posted.

    Hobbies besides Tacos...

Thank you. It's one of seven Jeeps we've owned. Has a lot more done to it than meets the eye!

    ADS Suspension

ADS right here. We have their 2.5 remote resi coilovers and shocks, with clickers, and I absolutely love them. My wife keeps them at 3 clicks front and one click rear (above full soft) for daily driving. The truck rides orders of magnitude better than stock and handles like it's on rails.

    Show me your sliders

Something totally different. Went with Shrockworks bolt-on because they're here in Houston. I actually like the overall wider guard. They also work as steps for my wife, when necessary.
