When one needs replacement and the user got high mileage out of it before fault- it means it was worn and not a failure. KOYO gives a 12k 1yr warranty, we obviously get more out of them than that. I think the idea is you’ll discover if there’s a fault in material or workmanship in that period of time. I recommend both sides outside of an obvious failure. With identical parts, that share similar wear, it’s highly recommended to replace at the same time because the other is due for same failure.
I keep a single on hand for folks in emergencies, I sell it for $180.
