I have a 021 SR5, 4 x 4. I had a Compustart installed in April of 2021. The model is 1WR3-AM. works great. While the truck is running the Orem key unlock is bypassed. You have to use the remote’s unlock feature. Once you insert the key the oem unlock returns to normal. The oem unlock works as intended if you haven’t started the truck with the remote. It was explained to me that it has to do with Toyota’s circuitry. Any “mod” to the circuitry would void the warranty.
