Warranty Toyo care plus @ 29k and no warranty left?/ TSB Q

Start out with the pertinent, warranty expired. 29,500 miles just about. 2017 4x4 limited

Truck is going to need propeller greased, torqued, the whole 9 for the 30k. Also is needs to have the TSB done for the ECU.

ECU TSB-0058-18 + 0062-18 are these the two that I need to have donecompleted?

So should I go ahead and pay the 300$ to have the Tacoma care plus until 45k?

I’m in the same pickle with my 2018. Almost 28k miles. It’s about the same price for the maintenance plan as the 30k check up.

I believe if it's a TSB (Technical Safety Bulletin) then by law it needs to be performed, at no charge to the customer.

If I recall the letter my dealership sent me said I need to purchase the maintenance plan before 31,000 miles and it includes the 30k checkup.

This is bad info and I see posted all the time, which is probably why you thought it was worth repeating. (Im not trying to be an ass, just pointing out how this happens)

TSB = Techical Service Bulletin. It is only free while under warranty. You pay for it after the warranty expires. It is not a safety thing.

A Recall is safety related and is performed at no charge to the customer. It can also be a manufacturing/part defect severe enough to warrant updating the part or adding/modifying to allow the vehicle to operate properly.

These are two very different things.
