Performance throttle controllers

hello to all, I am a new member and glad to be here. At 73 years young I just recently purchased my first Toyota, a 2022 Tacoma Limited with 30,000 miles and love it.
I want to purchase a throttle controller, and I have narrowed it down to the pedal commander or the pedal monster by Banks. I would sure appreciate some input from you guys, it’s my understanding that they both do basically the same thing, however, I am leaning toward the Banks pedal monster however I have some concern about having to make a connection to my phone for the controller (each time I start the truck??)
is this accurate information? I would appreciate any and all input from you guys. TIA

Why are you wanting to get a throttle controller? On these trucks a tune is much more beneficial. There are a few popular options to choose from with Yotawerx and OTT being the 2 best options.

If you are dead set on a throttle controller, the Banks is a MUCH better unit than the Pedal Commander and safer to use. I am not sure if they have a pnp option for the Tacoma's but if they do that is absolutely the route I would take. I have not heard that it requires a connection to your phone each time, but it may require one for setup to get it all programmed for your vehicle.

Regarding Banks, I have their iDash Supergauge and it's a very nice piece.
