This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Hey Tacomaniacs!
1) Tired of hand cranking your jack to change a tire? Well, a 17mm socket fits perfectly over the factory jack handle extension. Hook up an impact wrench and your done. Could also be used to lower the spare.
2) Does your factory jack not work with your aftermarket average lifted truck? Well the factory jack fits snugly into this jack base giving you ~3" more. No modification required.

UPDATE:
OK, I am retracting my recommendation to use an impact driver, unless you want to lose that coveted 17mm socket. Ha! And those replacement crank shafts are expensive ($25). I managed to get mine off finally, but not sure about long term if I were to continue using the impact driver. It's pretty mild steel. I'll stick to hand cranking for now.

I still stand behind the jack stand base though. That worked great. I was able to get both 33" MT's well off the ground.
