Rumbling while idling

My best guess is an exhaust leak. Have you inspected your exhaust system? Could be a pinhole leak or a loose fitting. Do you have an aftermarket exhaust system or is it stock?

Just got the truck last week and they legally have to put up to date inspection and no it’s all stock. At times it’s more noticeable than others which is weird

while I’m idling in drive I have this low rumble and then when im on the throttle it will go away. It doesn’t happen while in park, reverse or neutral, does anyone have any idea??

If it’s only at idle, I’d lean toward engine or tranny mounts.

To test it (in a safe place) try this.

1.) apply the brake with your left foot while in ‘D’
2.) with your right foot press the gas while still hold the brake peddle down.
3.) if the vibration smooths out it’s likely a mount.
4.) of that doesn’t work it could also be your intermediate shaft

Good luck!
