• Welcome to Tacoma3G.com, a free resource for 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma owners!

This website is the passion-project of a USMC veteran/mechanic, @Tyler. I created Tacoma3G.com to share my knowledge of this subject with others and to provide like-minded folks with a comfortable space to ask questions and create 'build threads' within our Tacoma Forums. Now, if the format of this website is confusing to navigate for you, or if you're interested in my full mission and T3G's history, check out the Help and About pages.

Retro Tacoma build

Welcome to Tacoma3g!

What is your current setup on the truck? Post some pics when you can!

Here's what I have so far:

A SouthernStyle Offroad Slimline bumper with Warn VR10

TRD Baja wheels wrapped in General Grabber A/T at 265/70 with Old Man Emu Nitrocharger suspension. The shell was bought used courtesy of Trudogtrails.

Inside the bed is a Rago bed panel and Victory 4x4 side panel.

And lastly, I attached some vintage Toyota emblems along with the black inserts for the Tacoma indentation.

Looks killer. Love the retro vibe. Overall am extremely unique style going on here. I dig it. ,👍

It's been a while, but I've updated my truck some more. I replace the Southern Style Offroad bumper with the CBI Offroad Covert bumper with an additional 30' light bar from Baja Designs. My roof rack now has the XL linkable installed to continue with the retro vibe. The back jump seats are completely gone thanks to the rear seat delete kit from Goose Gear and the guys at Squirrel Concepts, who also installed removable bed storage with the wood pattern to go with the truck. I replaced the TRD Baja wheels for larger Fifteen52 Analog HD wheels and BFGoodrich K02s, since General Grabber AT/Xs were sold out in San Diego. I also had the Rigd Supply Ultraswing installed with the Jerry Rig for extra fuel/water, depending on the trip.
The truck has been regeared to 4.88 for the extra weight and has been tuned once to allow for the transmission and engine to put out a bit more power and cooperate better. I also got a pneumatic rear locker when I got the gears done for that extra piece of mind.
