Rags in dash

1️⃣ Getting Started...
New to Tacomas and Toyotas in general. I recently purchased a 2023 TRD PRO a few weeks ago and was digging under the dash for a place to put an auxiliary fuse block. The idea is to run one pair of wires in through the bulkhead seal to power multiple accessories like a cb, gmrs, and such.

I popped open a panel and found an orange microfiber rag stuffed between a wire loom and a dash support just to the left of the steering column. Then I dug further and found 3 more rags stuffed between a large loom and the upper dash bulkhead.

This truck was a corporate lease and was maintained by the leasing dealer here in Dallas. Has anyone experienced this as well?

Are there issues with the wire looms rubbing or vibrating against the dash structure?

Thanks for any replies.

While I was under there, I tried moving stuff around to see if I could feel any play but everything is tight. I've driven it about 20 miles since I removed the rags and I don't perceive any difference yet. I'll keep an ear out. Thanks
